We welcome new member Lothian; introduce new video resources; and invite you to feed back to us.

  • Welcome Lothian

We’re delighted to welcome Lothian on board, as our first bus member outside TfL.  Lothian operates bus and coach services in Edinburgh and the Lothians in Scotland By joining CIRAS, Lothian has made a commitment to their staff to ensure their voice can always be heard. They’re a great addition to the CIRAS learning community and we look forward to learning from their approach to health and safety, and sharing this with our members. Find out about becoming a member by contacting us on enquiries@ciras.org.uk

  • New video resources

We’ve published several new short videos that demonstrate how CIRAS can help reduce risk and prevent incidents.  They’re suitable for toolbox talks or you could make them available online to your staff. They can also help you educate senior managers on the benefits of CIRAS and how it fits in with your company’s other safety systems.  You’ll find Lessons from Sandilands: The role of CIRAS ScotRail responds to CIRAS report and RATPDev responds to CIRAS reporton the shared learning are of our members’ portal.

  • Coming in January 2019 – your chance to feed back!

As a member organisation we are committed to delivering value for our members.  This means understanding what you need from us and responding to that.  Each year we issue a member scorecard seeking your views on: awareness of CIRAS in your organisation; good practice we can share; and what your key safety concerns are. This year we’ll also be asking for your views on how we can best seek your feedback going forward. Look out for the survey in January – and please do take the time to complete it as we really want to hear what you have to say.
