Taking part in the CIRAS learning community

At CIRAS we want to involve our whole member community in improving safety across the industry. There’s a huge amount of expertise and innovation across our membership, and we want to tap into that so good practice can be shared.  We encourage you to get involved, share your innovative practice and learn what others are doing.

Good practice newsletters

We publish a quarterly newsletter for frontline staff - see 'Frontline Matters' newsletter archive for back copies.

We also publish 'Membership Matters', a regular newsletter for CIRAS reps and other safety professionals, sharing intelligence and good practice.  Find back copies of 'Membership Matters' under 'Shared learning'.

Share your good practice stories with us and we will consider them for inclusion in 'Membership Matters' - just contact your stakeholder manager.

Reps' meetings

We run induction meetings for new reps and shared learning events on topics our members tell us are important to them.  Past events have looked at fatigue, behavioural safety and health and wellbeing.  If we have any reps' meetings scheduled they are advertised here.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for future events, please contact your stakeholder manager.

Shared learning

There's a section on our member portal dedicated to sharing resources including material from past events and back copies of 'Membership Matters'.  You can browse through this resource and use or share anything of interest.

Articles and blogs

We publish articles and blogs on topical issues.  These are all available for you to read on the CIRAS Hub.

Are you doing anything interesting in your company that other might benefit from?  Why not get in touch with your stakeholder manager or email us at editor@ciras.org.uk and share!
