The UK Rail Fire Forum is an annual gathering of experts, stakeholders, and rail operators with an interest in fire prevention. The forum will give you the opportunity to hear about a review of annual fire statistics, fire testing and changes to standards, and how the risk profile is changing, from new consumer equipment to new forms of traction. Sessions will include National UK incident statistics relating to fire, updating the Safety Risk Model, an international review of fire incidents, the link between human factors and passenger behaviour in evacuations, and much more.

Join RSSB’s Standards team to hear about June’s updates to the standards catalogue. They cover changes to rolling stock standards, including designing of rail freight wagons, driving cabs, and NDT processes on rail vehicles. There are also changes to infrastructure standards, including vehicle static testing, permissible track forces, and resistance to derailment and roll-over of railway vehicles. There is also guidance on evaluating excessive dynamic effects in underline bridges.
