CIRAS 25th anniversary webinar: A conversation with Dr Mark Noort on the behavioural nature of safety voice

When: Friday 17 September 2021, 12:00-13:00

At our July event, Building a speak up culture, CIRAS members explored why staff don't always speak up about their health and safety concerns, and what to do about it. We touched on the groundbreaking research of Dr Mark Noort, assistant professor at Leiden University and visiting lecturer in psychology and behavioural science at the London School of Economics.

We are delighted that Mark agreed to join us for a conversation hosted by director of CIRAS, Catherine Baker, to mark our 25th anniversary. He talks in more depth about his research and answer questions about how the findings can be applied in practice.

Mark's research found that only one in two people speak up about their concerns, and there are over 30 factors that can prevent them from doing so.
