The survey says…
Thanks to those who took the time to complete our reps’ survey late last year. We are using the results to ensure we keep doing the things that you like and fill the gaps where you have suggested improvements. Some quick headlines:
- 84% believed that confidential reporting complements their internal health, safety and wellbeing arrangements.
- Over 95% said that a confidential reporting service should be impartial, focus on improvement and not apportion blame.
You told us that you welcome our efforts to share report data, case studies and good practice, and would like us to continue with this. You also suggested we could improve our digital resources, use of social media, and how we share learning so it can be applied across different areas of your businesses. We’ll be working on these issues over the coming year, including improving our website and social media content, refreshing our newsletters and creating new case studies.
New CIRAS member ‘stamp’ available
We are proud that you are a member of CIRAS and are working with us to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of your workers. Being a CIRAS member shows you're committed to a positive reporting culture – and a safer culture means a stronger business.
We’ve responded to member feedback by creating a new member stamp – a JPEG file which you can download from our members’ portal and display on your website, in your publications or as part of your email footer. By doing so, you’re demonstrating how you have taken steps to ensure your staff always have somewhere to go with a health, safety and wellbeing concern.
You can download the stamp from our member portal at www.ciras.org.uk/tools-for-reps. If you use the stamp, please send us a photo to show us how you’ve used it.
Reminder – key dates for renewing your membership
We sent you your invoice for 2020/21 membership in January, and we recommend that you pay by 2 March, so we have time to process your payment and issue your new certificate before 1 April 2020. That’s particularly important if you are a Sentinel scheme member, as failure to complete the renewal process by 31 March could affect your trackside capability. Once you renew, your membership will run from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021.
